Youngs Dons On Mark

Moore's Skilful Display at Centre.

Aberdeen "A" gave a bright display against Hearts "A" at Pittodrie. The young Dons were worthy their decisive victory. Moore signalised his return to the attack by a skilful display of leadership.

After Reid, the Hearts' centre, had negatived an early goal by Adam, Moore restored the home lead near the interval with a beautiful header. Aberdeen were definitely on top in the second half, and two smartly taken goals by Love saw the Tynecastle side well beaten.
It was an interesting game, played under difficult conditions. For a period in the second half snow fell heavily, but both sides maintained a fast pace.

Promising Junior.,/p> Aberdeen played a junior from the south at outside left. He gave a promising display. He sent over some delightful crosses, and generally showed a splendid conception of effective wing play.
Moore was well supported all his colleagues. Adam was conspicuous with strong shooting, and Love was always dangerous. J. Westland was also a forcing forward.
Ritchie was again the most effective in the home mid-line, though Gavin was not far behind. The home defence was very safe. Douglas Westland in goal gave yet another masterly display.
Hearts were a good side, but did not knit as well as the homesters. The "Newman" in their goal played a great game, and J. Johnstone was a brilliant pivot. Reid and Carruthers on the right wing were best in attack.
