After the previous week's victory at Kilmarnock it was hoped that a first home victory could be secured and at half-time this looked possible
Though the Dons had been under pressure they took the lead after 22 minutes when Scott Michie set up Murray Watson to score and then after 32 minutes when Scott Michie extended the lead the signs were looking good. However things changed round after half-time as Motherwell first cam back into the game and defensive lapses helped Motherwell first draw level and then take the lead. After this, though both sides came close, the visitors held on for the victory.
