Sparkling Form By Reserves

Complete Aberdeen' Double at Firhill

LANG GETS COUPLE OF GOALS

Aberdeen "A" keep well to the fore in the race for Alliance League honours, and on Saturday, when they defeated Partick Thistle reserves by the odd goal in three, they added to their prospects of retaining the title.
The young Dons were worthy winners, although they had to fight hard for the points.

GREASY BALL

The Firhill reserves were on the defensive at the start. The young Dons' attack proved a constant menace. Numerous lapses were seen in the home defence, due to the slippery ground and the greasy ball.
A good chance was lost for the visitors when Scott should have gone in and scored. After working his way through he passed weakly across goal.
The young Dons were handicapped when Devine was injured and had to change places with Warnock. Despite that, however, the Aberdeen team were a lively lot, and four minutes before the interval Lang fastened on to a Scott cross to open the scoring.
Aberdeen "A" again had the bulk of the play in the second half, and in twenty minutes Lang put them further ahead, crowning fine work by the entire attack.

FIGHT FOR EQUALISER

Smith scored for the homesters, but despite gallant attempts they could not notch the equaliser.
Near the end Scott managed to get off on his own, and beat man after man, only to shoot the ball at the 'keeper.
