THE Young Dons were outplayed by the slick-moving Hibs "A" at Pittodrie on Saturday, and were lucky to escape with a 2-0 defeat.
Hibs were quickly on the attack, and before the game was five minutes old Arthur and Cuthbertson had scored.
In the second half Reilly, the Hibernian outside-right, who had injured his hand, did not resume, and the Aberdeen defence found their task easier. But most of the sparkle had faded from play, and there were few thrills.
Archie Baird, playing his first game since his cartilage operation, delighted with some clever touches during the second half.
The Young Dons' defence, especially during the first half, was shaky.
