Reach Quarter-finals of Reserve League Cup,/p>
Aberdeen "A," defeating Alloa Athletic "A" by three goals to one at Recreation Park, Alloa, last night, qualified for the match-play stages of the Reserve League Cup competition.
They finished with eight points, along with East Fife, but better goal average put the young Dons through.

Alloa Ath. "A" 6 1 0 5 7 23 2
The treacherous condition of the ground made constructive play extremely difficult, but Aberdeen mastered conditions more quickly than Alloa. Their efforts were rewarded in the twenty-third minute, when lan Rodger accepted a pass from Glen and drove fiercely towards goal.
McIvor appeared to have the ball covered, but it spun from his arms into the net.
Curran Confident
This goal stung the Wasps into action, but Curran was saving confidently and the visitors still led at the interval.
On the resumption, Aberdeen attacked strongly, and McIvor repeatedly made spectacular saves. The visiting forwards were not to be denied, however, and Glen increased their lead with a cleverly-taken header fifteen minutes after the restart.
Alloa fought back, and within five minutes Law had reduced the leeway, when he headed home a free kick by Smith.
Aberdeen retaliated, however, and, after several attacks, Stenhouse made it three when he beat McIvor with a neat flick.
This goal finished the game as a contest, and the end came with the young Dons still well on top.
