DISSAPOINTMENT
One cannot deny the disappointment felt by the supporters at the rather unexpected defeat on Wednesday. Even with a weakened team the Dons were thought to have a good caance of winning against Falkirk but from first whistle our lads were struggling. As sometimes happens with a team that misses chances early in the game, the luck ran against them and a stuffy Falkirk team, with fortune on their side and some magnificent work by their goalkeeper, were able to hold on to one goal lead. The Dons will have to show to-day that they are a far better team than their display of mid-week would suggest.Source: Match Programme, 20th March 1954
