25/12/1954 | KO:

The score last Saturday at Annfield would suggest that the Dons had a tight fight with Stirling Albion - actually that was not the case. There is no doubt that the home side "went to town" in the first half and were worthy of the two goals they scored. On the other hand their goal seemed to bear a charmed life - the woodwork came to the rescue time after time! The pitch was a sea of mus and this was to the advange of the slower players. In the second half the Dons were clearly superior and by pressing their advantage might have scored more goals. The final goal scored by Albion in the closing minutes came after their first real attack of the second half. It had no bearing on the result but should never have been scored!
