Aberdeen wore a change strip of white shirts and blue socks for this match.
POISE BEATS PANIC
A desperate Clyde eleven throwing everything they had into their task, gave onlookers a false impression of the Clyde-Aberdeen battle last Saturday. Certainly the home side were oftener on the attack but all their efforts seemed to end in a clever interception by a Don or a cool, even impertinent pass back to a very safe Fred Martin. When the homesters did get in a shot, it was nearly always a wild effort that sent the ball well wide of the mark. In contrast the Dons seemed leisurely in their approach to the game but this was only a deception because of their calmness in contrast to Clyde panic.
Especially in the second half, quick switching of the attack from one wing to the other had the opposing defence " running in circles" and the Dons finished easy winners with every player pulling his weight.
