The players were just as unhappy over the Partick defeat as any of their supporters but that doesn't help to excuse them for a shocking defeat! We feel that press comment on the game was on the whole very fair. What exactly went wrong is difficult to spot. Possibly the biggest mistake made by the Dons was their inabilty to score more goals when they were leading three-one and had ample opportunity to increase their lead. Had they seized their chances, to-day they would be praised for a grand display. Instead they lost a silly second goal and thereafter panicked their way to defeat.
