An evenly fought battle between Hearts and Aberdeen's Under 21's ended 1-1 at Stirling's Forthbank as Darren Young made his comeback from injury.
Both sides took the opportunity to give match practice to a number of first team regulars with the Jambos including Kevin McKenna, Stephen Simmons and Gary Wales among their ranks.
The Tynecastle outfit took the lead just after the hour mark but Nicolas Fabiano capped a good second half showing by grabbing a deserved equaliser for the Dons.
Speaking to RedWeb after the match manager Steve Paterson was satisfied with the result. "A draw was about right over the piece. It was encouraging to see Darren Young come through the 90 minutes OK but I'm sure he'd agree he needs more games."
