Young Dons narrow defeat

There was little to chose between the two teams and indeed the visitors had the better of the opening 45 minutes, but couldn't find that elusive goal.

They were to regret this when Rangers grabbed the only goal of the game in the 50th minute through a McLeod header. This settled the home side, but the young Dons rallied for a grandstand finish. Unfortunately there was no way through and last seasons champions claimed all three points.
