Kids find the going tough

Possibly the youngest ever Aberdeen Under 18 side found their Dunfermline couterparts too strong for them at Rosyth this afternoon.

Stephen Tarditi was the Dons sole marksman, but Chic McLelland wasn't too downhearted despite the result.

"We had four 16 year olds, six 15 year olds and a 14 year old in the squad so I always knew this would be a tough match. But the kids acquitted themselves well and hopefully will have seen just what they have to aspire to. I hope fans don't read too much into this result as we rested the usual Under 18 lads ahead of Sunday's Youth Cup clash with Ross County."
Andrew Considine was listed as a sub but was injured in the warm-up.
