Despite a poor first half showing which saw them turn around two goals down, Neil Cooper's Under 18's showed real fighting spirit to grab two late goals and earn a well-deserved 2-2 draw away to Motherwell.
Stephen Tarditi netted the first Dons goal with only ten minutes remaining, heading in a fine cross from Allan Carella. Then, with two minutes left on the clock, a superb diving header from Murray Watson (pictured), following in the rebound after a Richard Buckley strike had crashed back off the post, gave the Dons babes a share of the spoils.
After the match, Neil Cooper was happy with his team's efforts. "We were sluggish in the first half and Motherwell deserved their half time lead. John Stewart had to come off before the break with an ankle knock but Stephen Tarditi did well coming on as sub. We were a different looking team after the interval and possibly deserved to take all three points as we missed a couple of good chances. But I'm happy we're heading home with something to show for our efforts. All in all, it's been a good week for the boys. They've worked hard and it'll be the same again next week with games on Wednesday and Friday."
