Sore One For U21s

Aberdeen U21s struggled to overcome a disastrous start against Rangers at Murray Park. The young Dons found themselves three goals down in the early stages of the match but found the spirit to hold firm against their more illustrious opponents and avoid a total collapse. Kapucho and Averladze were among the scorers for the home side who held a 4-0 advantage at halftime. A second-half Leigh Hinds penalty gave the Dons some reward for their efforts.

Coach Neil Cooper, although despondent at the loss of three early goals, was not too downbeat after the game, "With the game effectively over as a contest so early on, I was pleased with the way the team clawed their way back into things when they could have caved in altogether".
