Away day joy for young Dons

The U19's kept their fine form going this afternoon with a 2-1 victory away to Dunfermline. After a goalless first half the young Dons found themselves a goal behind within minutes of the restart despite a strong call for off-side.

It did not seem to be the Dons afternoon when Rory McAllister had a good goal disallowed. Eventually the deserved equaliser came when Alexander Diamond went on a strong run before playing the ball up to Stephen Tarditi. The striker held the ball before turning and firing home.

With only a few minutes remaining Aberdeen claimed the victory. The goal was again set up by Diamond, who beat 4 players and was then fouled in the box. Tarditi stepped up and slotted home the winner.

This win leaves the U19 side with nine points from a possible twelve. Their only defeat coming in a narrow 1-0 reverse away to Rangers. Next up is Partick Thistle in Glasgow next week.
