Russell Anderson, Michael Hart, Darren Mackie and David Preece all made their first starts of the pre-season campaign. Barry Nicholson played at right back, with Jamie Smith playing right midfield.

The Dons took the lead on 14 minutes. Kyle MacAulay slotting through a perfect pass for Darren Mackie and although his shot was well saved by Gordon the Dons top scorer from last season made no mistake with the re-bound.

Six minutes later the Dons were two up. The lively Piotr Wlodarczyk picked the ball up on the left hand side of the box after Ritchie Byrne had played the ball through. He cut in towards goal then finished well. A minute later he should have had his second when he was put straight through on goal but the keeper produced a good save.

Two minutes later the impressive Kyle MacAulay hit a great shot that hit the post. On 38 minutes it was 4. Wlodarczyk played a clever through ball to Scott Muirhead who sprung the offside trap and he coolly rounded Gordon before rolling the ball into the net.

A minute before the break it was 5. Jamie Winter blasted a 35 yard shot that seemed to decive Gordon and went in at the keepers near side. On the stroke of half-time the keeper redeemed himself by saving brilliantly from point blank range to stop Wlodarczyk from scoring.

On 48 minutes the keeper produced another good block to prevent Mackie from scoring. Three minutes later however the flood gates opened up. Winter played another good ball to Poitr Wlodarczyk, and his clever flick was deflected over the keeper into the net. A minute later the Pole completed his hat-trick. Muirhead played the ball through and the striker tucked the ball home before the keeper could set himself.

On the hour mark the Polish trialist was replaced by Richard Foster, not before he receieved a standing ovation from the crowd.

Fraserburgh's only chance of the second half came when testimonial man Michael Stephen ran to the byeline and set up young Johnston but his effort hit the post.
