A goal from John Stewart in each half gave the Dons second string a comfortable win over their Inverness counterparts at Links Park in a match that saw defender Michael Hart make a successful return following his recent operation.
After a quiet opening, Aberdeen took the lead on the quarter hour mark. Kyle Macaulay played a through ball to Steve Lovell whose cutback was fired into the net by the waiting STEWART.
3 minutes later Stewart missed a penalty after Steve Lovell had been brought down in the box.
Showing no ill-effects from his long layoff, Hart played for 76 minutes before being replaced by Bobby Thomson and with a couple of minutes of the contest remaining, Sandy Clark's side made sure of the points when a Richard Foster cross from the right was headed home by STEWART, who had combined well with Lovell up front throughout.
