Dons title hopes dented after Hibs win.

Aberdeen's hopes of lifting the SPL reserve league title took a severe dent when they were beaten 3-2 by a battling Hibernian side at Links Park. The Edinburgh side took the lead in 31 minutes when a short back pass from Andrew Considine went straight to GRAY who made no mistake from close range.

On the stroke of the interval, the Dons levelled when Andrew Bagshaw was impeded in the area after a John Stewart shot had been saved. Darren MACKIE made no mistake to tie things.

With twelve minutes remaining a Shiels shot was saved by Greg Kelly but substitute POW slammed home the rebound. In 86 minutes GRAY took advantage of indecision from Martin Skinner and Considine to add a third and although STEWART headed home a Chris Maguire cross in the final minute, Hibs held out. Although it was a poor performance from the Dons they did have a few chances with Danny Griffin twice having headers cleared off the line from Maguire corners. Griffin was also unlucky to see a free kick not go in.
