Young dons win in Dunfermline

The Dons youth team earned a well deserved win in Dunfermline today courtesy of a 47th minute own goal. The Dons had carved out several chances in the first half despite the difficult conditions caused by a swirling wind. Two minutes after the break Paton fired in a cross and the unfortunate Howie turned the ball into his own net. Bagshaw had another good chance in the second half but Neale Cooper was happy enough to settle for the 1-0 win.

"I thought we handled the conditions well and put in a strong and committed performance. Like their senior counterparts they have now played most of the top sides and will be looking to start collecting points over the next few matches."
