Young Dons fight back for share of the spoils
Aberdeen fought back for a 1-1 draw against Hibernian at Balgownie this afternoon. In a classic game of two halves the Dons were rocked when Hibs took the lead after only 37 seconds. Aberdeen never recovered from that early set back and the visitor's went on to dominate the first half.
A few choice words from coach Neil Cooper paved the way for a fight back after the interval. Bagshaw grabbed the equaliser in the 54th minute and the Dons had chances to take all three points, but they couldn't find the net again. McInnes hit the woodwork with ten minutes remaining and Paton did the same thing in injury time. With the last touch of the ball Willie John Kiely took a quick free kick and watched in agony as his effort went inches wide of the target.
