After a goalless first half Aberdeen took the lead in the 63rd minute when Thomas scored from a Smith corner. Unfortunately the Dons only held that lead for six minutes when Gray levelled.
Then with five minutes remaining it looked as if the Dons had clinched the three points when the Hibs keeper brought down Kiely inside the penalty area. Kiely picked himself up, dusted himself down and slotted the ball past the keeper. This match was far from over however as Gray popped up in the 89th minute for a dramatic late equaliser. Aberdeen refused to be beaten and deep into injury time Crawford sent in a looping cross that was headed in by full back Haswell.
After a poor start to the campaign Aberdeen have now won three out of the last four games and dragged themselves clear of bottom spot. It's a good effort considering many of the team have been turning out for the reserves as well.
