The Aberdeen Reserves beat a strong Kilmarnock side at Glebe Park. Five minutes before the interval Paton and Pawlett combined well on the left flank before being fouled. Mulgrew put in a great cross from the resulting free kick and McDonald gave the home side the lead with a tidy finish. The visitors picked up the pace in the second half and were enjoying the bulk of the possession, but Aberdeen always looked dangerous on the break and wrapped up the points when the impressive Pawlett made a great run into the box in the final minute and was taken down.
