Aberdeen had the best of the first half with Stephen Tarditi hitting the woodwork and Michele Lombardi creating several chances without putting the home defence under any real pressure.
The Pars hit the Dons with a quick one two at the start of the second half with Craig WILSON taking advantage of some slack defending in the 48th minute and then again, four minutes later. However, Aberdeen kept on battling away and were rewarded in the 61st minute when Bryan PRUNTY scored from close range to complete the goal action.
After the game, manager Neil Cooper commented. "I was pleased with our first half showing, particularly as we were up against lads who were far more used to using the artificial surface. The goals we gave away were bad ones to lose, and down to poor defending, but overall it was a worthwhile experience for the young boys."
