Over 7000 spectators assembled at Pittodrie Park, Aberdeen, yesterday on the occasion of the benefit match for A. Wright, the Aberdeen captain, and a well-contested match resulted in a victory for Heart of Midlothian and Hibernian select, Edinburgh, over Aberdeen by 4 goals to 2. The scorers were:- For Heart of Midlothian and Hibernians, Gordon, Williams (2), and Coutts; and for Aberdeen, Flanaghan, and Rankine.
