The Wolves paid us what may surely be termed a flying visit for our visitors didn't arrive until 1:30 p.m. and they were speeding back to Edinburgh shortly after five o'clock. They would have liked to have made their stay in Aberdeen a longer one but the train times to and from Wolverhampton made it more suitable to spend Friday and Saturday nights in Edinburgh. The conditions were against good football but on the day's showing the Dons seem to compare favourably with English First Division teams. After the game Billy Wright on behalf of the players, expressed thanks to our Chairman for our hospitality and Mr Baker, the Wolves Chairman, suggested that they would be very pleased to have the Dons pay a return visit.
