Aberdeen Discovery
There was little to complain of in the Pittodrie defence. Aberdeen have discovered a promising young player in Alec Smith, of Aberdeen Juniors. It doesn't say much for the rest of the forwards that Taylor, recognised as a half-back, was the most forceful member of the line. Wilkie at right half, a strong forcing player, was outstanding in a stout-hearted East Fife rear division. James and P. Simpson were a pair of clever inside forwards, and Younger on the left wing was a fast and dangerous raider. Rangers' Northern League team suffered their first defeat on Saturday at the hands of St Bernards, but still have a clear cut lead.
