UNKNOWN'S LEAD TO HEARTS
Bravo Young Hearts! You certainly fairly and squarely licked the N.-E. league kingplns. In doing so you played with abandon, courage, skill, and enthusiasm.
Easily your your best display of fhe season. But the champs have some excuse. They had only ten men for about 40 minutes, keeper Johnstone going off injured with Taylor deputising.
The Donns were not at their best. They have often displayed greater punch. But for most of this fast game they were well held by a grand young side, ably led by a trialist centre forward.
It might be mentioned that McLure was not Duncan McClure, but a young back recently signed from Larkhall Thistle.
At inside-left was John Massie, pre-war signed junior from Aberdeen, not Alex.
