The Aberdeen A team, for the second time this season, played at Pittodrie, when they had as opponents the Dunfermline Athletics in a Northern League fixture. The weather was unpropitious, and the spectatorate suffered accordingly, the four figures in the number of onlookers not being reached. Teams:- Aberdeen A: Barrett; Willox, Brebner; Low, Thompson, Robertson; Knowles, Ruddiman, Lowe, Cruikshank, Jeffrey. Dunfermline: Myles; Allan, Crawford; Adamson, Hamilton, Christie; Lawrie, Dewar, Robertson, MacIntosh, McClelland. Referee - Mr. Niven, Lochee.
Shortly after the start, from a corner Robertson succeeded in getting the ball for the strangers. No time was lost, however, before the "A's" put themselves on a level with their opponents, Knowles notching a point very smartly. Aberdeen had now the best of the matters for the greater part of the first period, and just on call of half time, Ruddiman scored a second goal.
During the second part Aberdeen maintained their supremacy. Lowe, the new centre, played a good game, and had several splendid shots, which, however, the strangers' custodian was equal to. Twowards the end of the game darkness interfered with play, and time was called with no change on the half time score.
