Last night Aberdeen football team played an exhibition match against Thistle, Inverness, who were strengthened for the occasion. Unfortunately during the first period Mackintosh, one of the half-backs of the local team, had his leg broken while trying to stop Nicholl. In the first period Aberdeen, playing with great confidence, took the game in hand, and before the close of the first period, scored three goals. The local men, who had not been playing well, had more of the play during the second period. The game resulted :- Aberdeen, three goals; Thistle, two.

The Aberdeen last night played an exhibition match against the Inverness Thistle, who were strengthened for the occasion. To unfortunately, during the first period McIntosh, one of the half-backs of the local team, had his leg broken while trying to stop Nichol. In the first period Aberdeen, playing with great confidence, took the game in hand, and before half-time scored three goals, to put in by Soye and one by Wilson.
To the local men, who had not been playing well, had more of the play during the second period. By dint of hard work Fraser and Hamilton scored points, the latter's goal being magnificently taken. The thistle had opportunities of equalising but failed, and the game resulted - Aberdeen, 3; Thistle, 2.
