Lees Outstanding

In a Scottish Alliance match at Gayfield, Arbroath defeated Aberdeen Reserves by 3 goals to 1, Mckie scoring for the Pittodrie team, and the Arbroath goals being credited to Christie, 2) and Thomson.
Arbroath surprised their opponents in the first minute by beating Sutherland. This early success seemed to give them confidence, and they were likely winners all through. The Aberdeen forwards displayed nice combination, but they were up against a good defence. Lees centre half was the outstanding player on the field, and Yule and Wilson on the right wing also did good work.
