A sparkling second half display from the young Dons saw them beat Falkirk 6-3 at the Chris Anderson Stadium.
It was Falkirk on the attack in the early stages and they scored a magnificent goal from the centre circle when Lee Miller lobbed Dons keeper David Hutton. It was a brilliant effort that had to be compared to David Beckham's effort against Neil Sullivan.
After a quiet first half, Aberdeen came out with all guns blazing in the second half and were in front within five minutes. Kevin Souter and Stephen Tarditi (trialist) scored in quick succession.
The Dons defensive frailties and lack of height at corners was exposed with two almost identical Falkirk goals. In between these goals Dons winger Allan Carella scored a superb goal showing skill and composure after a lung bursting run to lob the Falkirk keeper.
At 3-3 there was all to play for and Aberdeen were rightly awarded a penalty, Calum McHattie made it 4. Falkirk defender McHendry was sent off for his protests and the Dons finished the game in the driving seat.
B.B.Tarditi and Muirhead played this match as Trialists
Aberdeen put their extra man advantage to good use and the passed the ball well to stretch the beleagured Falkirk rearguard. Allan Carella capped a fine performance with a second goal and McHattie also doubled his tally before the end.
