A fairly large attendance of spectators witnessed the match in the Central Park between Aberdeen A and the East End United in the Aberdeen County Cup competition. The first half was hotly contested, and, if anything, the East End had the best of the exchanges. Before half-time was signalled Mackintosh, for the East End, scored the only goal of the first period.
On resuming, the Aberdeen representatives showed better dash and determination, but their efforts close in were too often feeble and erratic. Burnett cleverly notched a second goal for the East End, and Jaffrey, who gave an excellent display throughout, secured two goals for the Aberdeen. Near the end of the game there were several strong attempts by both sides to go one better, but they were unsuccessful, and the game ended in a draw, both teams having scored two goals.

The County Cup.
Aberdeen raised a third team on Saturday to defend their title ip the County Cup competition. Though they had never previously had any practice together they went up to Central Park full of hope to win. They did not manage to do this altogether, but they made a good draw after being two goals to the bad twenty minutes from time. If the Aberdeen team had a curious mixture about it East End United were also a made up lot for the occasion. It was just a pity that there was so much temper shown, as that could easily have been dispensed with. They will have to meet again on some future occasion, when the result may be different. Unless the clubs agree to play on Central Park again the tie cannot be brought off this week, as the first eleven are at home to the Hearts of Midlothian in the Scottish League.
