Aberdeen A beat Fraserburgh by 1 goal to 0 in the second round of the Aberdeenshire County Cup competition, at Pittodrie, on Saturday afternoon. Some 4000 to 5000 spectators were present, and the weather conditions, for a December day, were very agreeable. While the Fraserburgh men were losers they gave the A's a capital flight, and their display was all the more creditable, considering that they had to play during the greater part of the game with only 10 men. Some 10 minutes after the start Finnie, their left back, got a leg injury and had to retire. During the first half, in which there was no scoring, the Fraserburgh side played with dash, the forwards showing much spirit in their work. After the interval Fraserburgh, apparently with the object of playing for a draw, put McKay at right back, but this policy did not pay. Aberdeen were more business like that in the opening period, and scored through Fraser, after Gibb had been tested by W. Wylie.
