Inverness Thistle 1 - 2 Aberdeen

In a Highland League match at Inverness, Aberdeen Reserves beat Thistle by 2 goals to 1. Forbes gave Aberdeen the lead in the first half, and with a little more steadiness in front of goal, they would have increased their advantage before the interval. After being kept on the defensive in the early part of the second half, Thistle improved, and W. Fraser caught on to a clearance by Cunningham and equalised. Subsequently Aberdeen played clever football, although handicapped by the temporary absence of Grant through injury. Near the close F. Berstad secured the winning goal for Aberdeen as the result of a fine individual burst. Aberdeen were the better team, and just deserved their narrow win. Their best players were Ritchie, Bruce, McIntosh Main, and F. Berstad. Thistle were splendidly served by Jeans, Baillie, MacDonald, McLennan, and W. Fraser.
