Raith Rovers 1 - 4 Aberdeen

Scottish Reserve League
Aberdeen scorers: Davidson, Davidson, Hay, Hay.

31/03/1956 | KO: 15:00

At Kirkcaldy last Saturday the Reserves were clear winners against an eleven showing plenty of endeavour but little skill. Of course there were times during the game when the very enthusiasm of the home side might with luck have given results - and the style of the game might have changed entirely. As it was the home players had one spell in each half when they put the Dons' defence to the test. Apart from these periods lasting about ten minutes in each case, the writing was on the wall. Long before the end the home side had given up the ghost. The biggest cheer at Starks Park came from the announcement of the half-time Pittodrie score.
