MAKING his first appearance since he injured his heel at the beginning of last season. Jim McIntyre gave a creditable display at inside left for the Young Dons, who beat Alloa Athletic "A" 5-3 at Alloa on Saturday.
McIntyre showed signs of tiring towards the end. but otherwise passed the test satisfactorily. He scored one of the goals, the others coming from Muir (2) and Rice (2).
Muir, always an energetic leader, and Rice, on the right wing, were the outstanding players afield.
Except for a few bright patches the game was a rather drab affair. Aberdeen played much the better football and their win was well deserved.
Fleck, Kennedy and Robertson scored for Alloa.
