Aberdeen 'A' Draw At Dumfries

The Aberdeen "A" team divided the Scottish Alliance points with Queen of the South "A" at Dumfries, each team scoring twice. Aberdeen early assumed a lead of two goals, McLeod crashing in a splendid shot after ten minutes' play, and Doolan followed with the second. In the later stages of the period the Dumfries team attacked, and McSevich brought off several good saves. Near the interval the Aberdeen goalkeeper and Adam, the home centre-forward, were injured in collision, but were able to continue. Shortly after half-time Adam was again injured and had to be assisted off. The home team opened their account as a result of McSevich kicking the ball against attacker, off whom it rebounded into the net. Ultimately Duff equalised. The closing stages were stubbornly fought, but the game was only worth a draw. At right half and outside right Aberdeen gave a trial to two juniors from the West of Scotland. Both created a favourable impression.
