Aberdeen 'A' Win Again

At Pittodrie Park, Aberdeen, on Saturday, the Aberdeen reserves maintained their season's winning sequence by defeating Lochgelly United in a Scottish Alliance fixture by four goals to nil. The result flatters the homesters. At the outset the tricky Lochgelly forwards led the Aberdeen defence a merry dance, and had the visitors' finishing efforts carried precision and punch Aberdeen's goal would have fallen during the first 15 minutes. As it was, the Lochgelly combination frittered away their chances and allowed Aberdeen to score twice when the run of play was all against the homesters. In the ascendancy Aberdeen took a firm grip of the game, and registered other two goals in the period. The scorers in turn were Love, Robertson, Cheyne, and Carroll.
That Robertson, Aberdeen's recruit from Bridgeton Waverley, is an enterprising and penetrative raider was amply proved on Saturday. He shoots without hesitation, and shoots hard, but there is room for improvement in his outfield play. Of the other forwards all, with the exception of Lawson, played a sound game, while in the defence McHale and McSevich were conspicuous figures. There was an attendance of 5000 spectators..
