RELIABLE enough in defence but unimaginative in attack, Aberdeen reserves dropped another home point, this time to East Fife "A," and are still without their first win in "C" Division, in which they were runners-up last season.
Once again it was a tale of missed opportunities, and for the second match running a penalty was missed, Hather sinning this time.
The young Dons' best men were in defence, where Alan Rodger again staked his claim for a run in the first team. Both Watson and Bruce did quite well, and Young seemed fit, although still sometimes out in his timing of the tackle.
Best of the forwards was Newlands, the lad from R.A.F. Kinloss. He scored his side's only goal, but spoiled other opportunities through rash finishing.
