Wee Dons Miss Chances

Since our last reserve report we have had mixed results which is understandable as the Boss has drafted a few of our young lads into the first team pictures - this is essential for the youngsters and equally for the manager to assess them in the higher grades. Last Saturday's match against Motherwell Reserves in the 2X1 Cup semi-final was a very hard match with us notching the winner in extra-time.
I was delighted with the result particularly for the boys who fought tremendously hard. We lost John McMaster early in the first half but his replacement Ernie Drews played really well and the rhythm of the team was not disturbed. Willie Garner continues to improve with every game and looks a red prospect. George Campbell's trickery was a constant source of work to the opposing Motherwell defence and his pin-point accurate crossing was a feature of the game. The newly married Walker McCall took his 2 goals very well. There were good individual performances but this was a team effort and the lads are looking forward to the 2 big finals against Dundee.
