This was Fred Martin's first match in goal for Aberdeen after converting from an inside forward whilst in the Army.
Brechin put up a good show against Aberdeen "A." but the superior speed and training of the Dons told inthe long run and they won 3-1.
All the scoring was in the second half, Gibson (2) and Millar being the Aberdeen marksmen. Paris got one for the locals, who suffered their first home defeat.
It was a good same somewhat spoiled by a gale of wind. The winners were clever and speedy, and superior in positional play.
