Young Dons Held to Draw by Brechin
ABERDEEN Reserves finished their "C" Division programme in indifferent fashion last night at Pittodrie, when they were held to a 1-1 draw by Brechin City. Only a few hundred people braved the inclement weather, and they got little to cheer them up.
Both teams tried hard enough, but defence usually held the mastery over attack. The Aberdeen forward line, which included Stenhouse and Pearson, was strangely inept near goal.
When Glen was hurt in the second half Pearson went to inside left, and he put away enough passes for the others to win the game, but there were no takers.
Brechin had to rearrange their side in the second half because of an injury to Hind. They were best served by Shaw, Smith and Paris.
Waddell was the keystone of the Aberdeen defence, in which McLean, a Renfrewshire juvenile from Glentyan Thistle, was not seriously tested.
