Wee Dons Ahead - By A Street

THE YOUNG DONS are now top of the Reserve League table after last Saturday's 3-1 home win over Falkirk A, a repeat of our winning margin at Brockville earlier in the season. In bad playing conditions, the lads struggled a bit to establish their superiority until the second half. It took a John Craig penalty to put the young Dons in on level terms at the break, but there was no doubt who were the better side after that. Bobby Street, coming back into form again, and Jimmy Miller got the goals that mattered. Jimmy Miller had an excellent game, but I thought the best player on the field was our pivot, Willie Miller, who was well covered by Ian Hair. Joe Smith got things together after the interval and Craig again played well.
