Young Jess kept up the good work as Dons disposed of the holders, Dunfermline, by 2-1 in the BP Youth Cup at East End Park. The Young Dons recovered well from an early deficit and with three minutes to go, Jess earned a place in the next round by beating defenders near the edge of the box before hitting the net with a left-footed drive.
Jess also provided the centre for Graeme Ferguson's egualising goal, thus providing a significant contribution to Dons prog¬ress in the prestigious youth competition.
