At Pittodrie last night Aberdeen Reserves defeated Buckie Thistle in an Aberdeenshire and District League match by 2 goals 0. About 3000 looked on at a game which was always fast and keen. Undoubtedly the victory went to the better team, but all the same had Thistle shown more steadiness in front of goal they might at least have divided the points. Both goals were recorded in the first half, and were to the credit of Macdonald. His first point might have been saved, but his second was the outcome of a brilliant shot. Both defences played well and bright flashes by the forwards on both sides kept the play interesting. On the Aberdeen side the outstanding players were Hannah, Smith, Wilson, Yule, Rankine, and Kirton, and for the losers the best were Geddes, Rae, and Newlands.
