VICTORY FOR PITTODRIE RESERVES. EDWARD'S FOUR GOALS.

Aberdeen A defeated Fraserburgh by 4 goals to 1 in the Aberdeen and District League game at Bellslea Park, Fraserburgh, last night. Edward scored all four goals for the visitors.

Fraserburgh obtained a corner in the first minute, but the kick was easily disposed of. Ten minutes from the start, Edward received a cross from Main, and beat Gibb with an unsaveable shot. The custodian shortly afterwards stopped a stinger from Grant. Main sent in a long shot, which was well held by the goalkeeper.
Crawford had a solo run and squared the ball, but the chance went abegging. Fraserburgh were frequently pulled up for off-sides, and the referee's decisions did not meet with the appreciation of the crowd. Sim, however, came near to equalising off a cross by A. Buchan, and Cunningham just managed to stop a beauty from Turner.
Ritchie broke away, and off his well-placed cross Edward netted his second goal.

Early in the second half. Birnie miskicked, and let Edward through to score again. At the other end, Walker tested Cunningham from a scrimmage, and the custodian had to concede a corner. A minute later a hard drive by Grant found the upright. Following pressure by the homesters, Edward had a fine solo run, and rounded it off by scoring a lovely goal.
Success at last came to Fraserburgh. A miskick by a defender gave Crawford his chance, and he kicked the ball into an untenanted goal. In the remainder of the game, Fraserburgh had their full share of the exchanges.
Aberdeen A were easily the superior side, and showing to best advantage were Cunningham, Thomson. Bruce, Edward, Grant, and Paton. Best for Fraserburgh were A. Bain, Turner, Crawford, and Sim.
