ABERDEEN "A," beaten by Rangers reserves in the home-and-home final of the Scottish 2nd XI. Cup, came very near to exacting complete revenge when the clubs met in the semi-final of the Scottish Reserve League Cup at Ibrox last night.
As it was, the Pittodrie colts did well to share in a 0-0 draw. The replay will be at Aberdeen, and although Saturday has been suggested, no date was fixed last night.
Ian Rodger spoiled a good display as leader of the visiting attack by missing scoring chances. When Rangers were on top Frank Watson starred in goal.
