Another Win For Aberdeen 'A'

By defeating Raith Rovers "A" by two goals to one at Stark's Park, Aberdeen "A" retain their position as Alliance League leaders. Play was scrappy at the start, but after 13 minutes Aberdeen missed a great chance when Bruce failed to accept a pass from Falloon. Raith improved, and almost took the lead when Russell all but bundled Blackwell into his goal. From a free kick outside the penalty area, Spencer had a good try which Thomson saved at the expense of an abortive corner. Near the interval, Raith were awarded a penalty, which Porter converted. From the restart Aberdeen took the game in hand, and McLeod scored off a pass from Falloon. A minute later Falloon almost counted with a great drive. The visitors continued to have the better of the exchanges, and McFarlane beat Thomson to give them the lead. The Rovers attacked vigorously after this, but failed to equalise.
