Neil's appointment as manager until the end of season 2023-2024 was confirmed by the Club on Monday 5th February 2023. He would be assisted by Ronnie Jepson and would take immediate charge of the senior team with Peter Leven returning to his first team coaching activities.
After a struggle in the League Warnock stood down after a Cup quarter-final win over Kilmarnock.
