Having come up through the Youth Academy and contributed to the Under-18s since season 2020-21, it was announced on 20th July 2023 that Adam would go out on loan to Formartine United for the first half of season 2023-24, this was extended to season's end on the 5th of January 2024.On February 9th the Club announced that Adam had signed a contract extension taking him through to at least 2026.
On 2nd August 2024 the club announced that Adam would join Cove Rangers for the 2024-2025 season. After putting in excellent performances for the Balmoral Stadium club, Adam was recalled to Pittodrie on 4th February 2025. However, on 21st February he was returned to Cove to play out the remainder of the season.
After his successful spell at Cove, it was announced on 4th July 2025 that Adam was transferred to Ross County for an undisclosed fee.
